Social marketing by and for virtual assistants

Social marketing can be a time-consuming task. So time management is important, but you have to make sure you’re efficient and productive as well. If you’re not, why spend the time at all?

So check out these 10 tips to become a Super Efficient Social Marketer

Here’s a great article by Leesa Barnes, of Podcasting for Profit, covering 5 ways that a VA can assist podcasters, and take some of the admin tasks off them to give them more time for creating new content.

There are a few VAs currently offering these services, including www.socialwebdiva.com and www.chelpixie.com, but I think more and more VAs will branch into this aspect of social marketing as podcasting continues to grow.

Enjoy!

5 Ways Virtual Assistants Can Help Podcast Producers Without Doing Anything Technical

Here are five ways virtual assistants can help podcasters:

  • Submit podcasts to podcatchers. Part of marketing a podcast is submitting them to podcast directories, otherwise known as podcatchers. As a virtual assistant, you can offer this service by collecting the information about a new podcast from the podcast producer. Then, you can submit the podcast information one-by-one to podcatchers.
  • Update the podcast producer’s blog with the new episode info. Once the newest episode of the podcast is sitting on the server, you can write the title, description and episode notes. Then, you can post directly to the blog (if you were added as a contributor), or just simply email the details about the episode to the producer. This task is especially helpful if a podcaster produces podcasts for multiple clients.
  •   blog it

Many small businesses are starting to use virtual assistants to help with administrative tasks, but you could even take it beyond just admin stuff, and hire a VA that can also help with time-consuming tasks like your social networking.

There’s a great post at the Social Web Diva about using a virtual assistant to help with Facebook:

How can a Virtual Assistant help me with Facebook?
Facebook is huge, growing by 250,000 members a day. You’ve probably heard it’s an important site to be on to network online, but you’re just not sure how to use it. Or, you’re on there but find you hardly ever have time to maintain it, but you’re really interested in making it work for you.
This is where a virtual assistant that specializes in Facebook management comes in. This VA knows the ins and outs of Facebook, and can help with tasks such as:

  • recommending popular applications to use and those that should be avoided on business-focused profiles
  • setting up a professional and effective profile
  • blog it
